Whiteboard to Boardroom
The Whiteboard to Boardroom (W2B) project was established in September 2009 with three-year funding ($600,000) from the National Science Foundation’s Partnerships for Innovation program.
The project created a bi-state partnership of regional colleges and universities that sought to:

- Develop a sustainable technology commercialization process that will make a vital contribution to the region's economy
- Establish sustaining partnerships between educational institutions, non-profit business development organizations, and the private sector
The program started as a partnership between the University of Missouri - Kansas City Innovation Center, University of Kansas Center for Technology Commercialization, William Jewell College and Johnson County Community College.
